A series of events aimed at educating advisers about the Alternative Investment Market is being organised by LGBR Capital.
Under the title of LGBR Capital AIM Masterclass, the seminars aim to give an overview of London’s junior market which is the largest of its type in Europe. AIM has a combined market capitalisation of over £70 billion across around 1,000 companies divided into more than 40 market sectors.
The overview will cover such topics as the range of tax-efficient structures, including ISAs, VCT, EIS and IHT mitigation products. It will also look at a number of example financial planning ideas, including sheltering ISA portfolios from IHT, providing tax efficient natural income for elderly clients, care home fees and power of attorney cases.
Other topics under examination include researching AIM companies, corporate governance, manager track record, independent reviews and industry associations.
