Cirencester Appoints Two New Non-Executive Directors

Cirencester Friendly, the income protection specialists, has appointed Mark Sedgley and Ian Maude as non-executive directors.

Sedgley has almost 30 years’ experience in financial services, primarily in the mutual sector and has held both technical expert positions, and senior management roles including Chief Executive of a friendly society. He said: “I am delighted to be joining an award winning and professional mutual. I hope to be able to play a part in the future success of the Society and to help ensure our Members continue to receive first class products and service.”

Maude brings significant financial expertise accrued over a career spanning 40 years, much of which has been spent as a board executive. He has held several senior financial and IT positions including Finance and IT Director for both Zurich Insurance and LV. He said: “I am extremely pleased to be joining the Board of the Cirencester Friendly. I hope that my experience and knowledge of the insurance sector will allow me to make a valuable contribution. I look forward to working with the Board to enhance the discussions when devising policies and plans to ensure that we continue putting the needs of our Members the heart of everything we do.”
