A fire has broken out on at the Mina al-Ahmadi oil refinery in Kuwait but operations and exports have not been affected, the Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) said on Monday.
The state-owned company said the blaze started at a sulphur removal unit which it had now isolated, adding that several people had suffered minor injuries and smoke inhalation.

“The refinery operations and export operations were not affected and there has been no impact to local marketing operations and supplies to the electricity and water ministry,” KNPC said in a statement on social media.
