Andy Hampshire has joined Gresham House as Chief Technology Officer.

Gresham House is specialist asset manager focused on alternative investment strategies and illiquid asset classes, and Hampshire will develop the implementation of the firm’s technology strategy, including the creation of a distinctive co-investment platform. He will also advise investee companies on the use of technology as a driver of shareholder value creation.

Hampshire moves from LDC where he was Operating Partner (Value Enhancement Group). There he helped portfolio companies grow and build value through technology. He also held various positions at Lloyds Banking Group.

He reports directly to Tony Dalwood, Gresham House CEO. Dalwood said: “Andy has deep expertise in alternatives and the financial sector, coupled with a strong background in technology and I’m very pleased to welcome him to the team.

“As a Group, we want to differentiate ourselves from our competitors by providing a leading digital experience for investors. We believe that by hiring Andy, we are well on the way to creating a sophisticated technology strategy that will underpin our offering to clients, act as a driver of shareholder value creation and support the portfolio companies within Gresham House, including those in the Strategic Public Equity division.  When taken together, we are establishing a business that suits our clients’ needs and is fit for the future of asset management.”

Andy Hampshire said: “I am looking forward to working with the strong and growing team at Gresham House and with the range of portfolio companies. There has been a lack of technological innovation within our sector and I am excited about the opportunity develop a strategy that will create real shareholder value and enable us to get closer to our clients by allowing them to gain a greater insight into the Group’s investment approach.”
