Bristol based investment firm Hargreaves Lansdown is expanding its IT team.
The firm is recruiting 40 new developers, project managers and testers at their Head Office in Bristol. The expansion is to support its HL Vantage Service which aims to provide a leading investment supermarket platform for 675,000 investors managing their ISAs, pensions and other investments.
The platform has been recently enhanced says Hargreaves Lansdown and latest innovations include free live share prices, “try before you buy” watch lists (which synchronise between accounts whether accessed via a PC, or mobile apps), online bond dealing, equity regular savings and lower dividend re-investment levels.
Future enhancements coming soon say the firm will be a new stock screener, customisable online portfolio display, improved charting tools and a comprehensive broker forecast centre detailing the latest analyst upgrades and downgrades.
On the drawing board are a number of new features, including new tools to help people with their decisions at retirement ahead of the new pension freedoms in April and an extensive new cash management services supported by a new marketplace lending (peer-to-peer) service.
