Intelliflo partners with The Verve Foundation to become a key partner on its ‘We Are Change’ training initiative to help attract new talent to the financial planning industry and the Financial Health Network in the United States.

The announcement coincides with World Youth Skills Day, a United Nations designated day to celebrate the strategic importance of equipping young people with skills for employment globally.

‘We Are Change’ is a not-for-profit initiative helping individuals achieve their Level 4 CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning. It also equips them with the practical skills needed to work in the industry and educates students on a broad range of careers available.

As a key partner, intelliflo will sponsor places on the scheme, helping to pay for the training, exams and upskilling of those looking to start their career in financial services. The partnership underscores intelliflo’s  purpose as a firm and continued commitment to widen access to financial advice.

Commenting on the partnership Nick Eatock, CEO of intelliflo said: “We are proud to be supporting the Verve Foundation and be part of the We Are Change initiative. Rather than talking about this issue, we want to be part of the solution by helping to get more people qualified. Our commitment to training the next generation of financial advisers reflects our belief that to truly widen access to financial advice, there is a need to bring more talent into the industry.

“Last year we analysed the data of over three million end clients whose advisers use intelliflo office to create our inaugural Advice Map of Britain. Among other things, it confirmed what most advisers know already – millions of people are not getting the help they need with their personal finances. This is important as financial advice can make a positive difference to someone’s personal circumstances, especially during challenging economic times.”

Cathi Harrison, Founder & CEO of The Verve Group, added: “The We Are Change initiative is made possible by the support of those who committed to driving real change within financial services. We’re delighted to have intelliflo on board and believe that their contribution – both financially and their expertise – is of great value to the initiative and the students on the programme.

“I’m incredibly proud of We Are Change, and continue to be moved by the personal stories we hear from candidates, as well the success stories from current students who are now improving their employability and securing roles in financial services as a direct result to them being on the programme.  We’re huge advocates of improving social mobility within financial services so it was important for us that we created a programme that focused on both the training and education of our industry, whilst also removing the financial barrier of gaining a recognised professional qualification.

“We’re able to provide the training and education internally as part of our own mission, but it’s the likes of intelliflo and our other sponsors who are able to to remove the financial barrier to entry which our students are hugely grateful for.”
