Dominic Clabby takes over adviser contacts and platform functions
Source, Europe’s sixth biggest ETF provider, continues its recent advance into the UK market with the appointment of Dominic Clabby to manage the firm’s coverage of investment and trading platforms – and, more importantly perhaps, its relationships with intermediaries and independent financial advisers in the UK and Ireland.
Formerly Development Director at AXA Distribution Services, Clabby brings more than a decade of experience to the position. His arrival coincides with last month’s announcement that Source had accepted an offer from US private equity firm Warburg Pincus for a majority stake in the asset manager.
“RDR might have been the catalyst,” says Michael John Lytle, chief development officer at Source, “but many IFAs are now seeing the clear benefits in investing in ETPs and need greater support from providers. Adding Dominic to our team increases our reach within the IFA community, offering them the opportunity to benefit from the differentiated content available to investors in a Source ETF.”
“RDR has stimulated investors’ interest in greater transparency,” says Clabby. “This creates an obvious opportunity for ETPs. Many platforms and IFAs have a growing awareness of ETPs but have not yet begun to act accordingly.”
“As a result, I can see these intermediaries dramatically changing their approach to ETPs over the next few years.”
