Novia Financial adds multi-award winning investment platform specialist Amira Norris to its growing roster of top tier talent it’s attracted from across the industry.

In August, the platform announced the appointment of Investec’s Eden Scrivenger as Chief Technology Officer, LV’s Laura Moodley as Head of Change, and Parmenion’s George Woodley as Head of IT Delivery.

Novia Financial, the adviser-focused platform business, announces the appointment of multi-award-winning platform specialist Amira Norris as Head of Sales. Norris, who joins from Nucleus Financial, is a Chartered Financial Planner and PFS Fellow with 20 years’ experience in financial planning.

She is the winner of the Women in Financial Advice 2022 Role Model of the Year and Woman in Platforms awards and a staunch and active advocate for the advancement of others in financial services. As Head of Sales, Norris will play a fundamental role in developing the future growth, vision and direction of Novia’s adviser relationship strategy.

Barry Neilson, Chief Commercial Officer, said: “To understand the true mettle of a person and to get the nub of what really drives them, you need to look beyond the qualifications and plaudits – of which Amira has an abundance – and check out what they do outside of their own career development. For Amira, that was co-launching an initiative with her wife to raise the quality and availability of mentoring in financial services.”

“The platform space is at an inflexion point and as we seek to be one of the winners of the future, colleagues and clients alike are going to benefit hugely from Amira’s drive and focus on helping us become the platform of choice for progressive financial planners.”

Norris added: “Novia remains a truly adviser centric platform with a strong leadership at the helm who retain a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing
progressive financial planning businesses. I’m excited to be joining at such a pivotal moment in our journey, with an innovative roadmap of enhancements all geared to support advisers to deliver the best possible outcomes for their clients now and in the future.”

Norris is the latest high-profile addition to join the revitalised Bath-based business which, under CEO Patrick Mill, is undergoing a transformation focusing on service delivery, true digitisation and deeper connectivity.
