Diversity, community, employment & working conditions, human rights, education, health and safety – all vital concerns that investors of previous generations may have paid less attention to.

Katy Grant, a Senior ESG Investment Analyst at Aberdeen Standard Investments asks: what are the investment implications?

Grant’s key responsibilities include analysing and engaging at both the sector and company level; collaboratively designing and articulating ESG policy across asset classes; managing research of ESG themes; communicating ESG processes internally; and promoting ASI’s ESG work to external parties.

Grant previously worked as part of the UK and European equities team, where she was responsible for helping to integrate ESG risk assessment, having joined Aberdeen Standard Investments in 2012.  Prior to this, she worked at Ernst & Young in financial services audit. Katy graduated with an MA in French and Spanish from the University of Edinburgh and also has an MSc in Business Management with Finance from Heriot Watt University.

The Brooks Macdonald team will be taking the Responsible Investing seminars to London, Cheshire and Hampshire – you can find out more about dates, times, venues and reservations HERE.
