Sparrows Capital has partnered with Hubwise to offer the SCore range of model portfolios.

Both Sparrows and Hubwise offer transparent and disruptive pricing models delivering quality investment solutions at fair value to advisers and their clients.

A pioneer of Evidence-Based Investing, Sparrows Capital’s SCore MPS portfolios are designed to deliver enhanced market returns for a low-cost fee, capped at £20 per underlying client per month. This charge covers benchmark selection and portfolio construction, Index Fund/ETF selection, monitoring and risk management. The SCore MPS range comprises 11 factor tilted portfolios and 11 ESG / SRI filtered portfolios, with equity exposures from zero to 100% in increments of 10%.

Hubwise prides itself on using its own modern, open software and execution capability to deliver a comprehensive, investment service, at highly competitive pricing.

These complementary low-cost fee structures offer clear and predictable pricing, enabling advisers to deliver better value to their clients.

Sparrows Capital’s John Bennett says: “We share Hubwise’s vision to offer investors access to quality platform services at exceptional value, passing the benefit of scale economies straight through to the end client. Asset-based fees for scalable services are outdated, unfair on clients and unjustifiable.”

Hubwise’s Angus Macdonald comments: “We’re pleased to be working with Sparrows Capital to offer advisers and their clients a low-cost core investment offering with a proven track record. The price-disruptive combination leverages our technology to provide value, accessibility and transparency to end investors.”

Sparrows Capital’s investment approach is based on long term evidence and backed by robust academic studies. The team uses Index Funds and Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) to efficiently harvest market returns from a diverse global asset universe. This approach reflects the style adopted by the Norwegian sovereign wealth fund (Government Pension Fund Global) and the Japanese Government Pension Investment Fund, two of the largest endowments worldwide.

The firm’s proposition is significantly enhanced by the involvement of Professor Elroy Dimson. Until 2016 he chaired the Strategy Council of the Norwegian Government Pension Fund Global and has been Consultant to Sparrows Capital’s Board of Directors since 2014. Professor Dimson is currently Chairman of the Centre for Endowment Asset Management at Cambridge Judge Business School and chairs the FTSE Russell Policy Advisory Board.
