The Openwork Partnership has formed a dedicated Inclusion Action Group (IAG) to champion and drive forward DW&I and has achieved the government’s Disability Confident Status as an employer.
The Governments Disability Confident Employer Scheme is creating a movement of change, encouraging employers to think differently about disability and take action to improve how they recruit, retain, and develop disabled people.
As a Disability Confident Employer, The Openwork Partnership is:
- challenging attitudes towards disability
- increasing understanding of disability
- removing barriers to disabled people and those with long-term health conditions
- ensuring that disabled people have the opportunities to fulfil their potential and realise their aspirations
As a Disability Confident Employer, The Openwork Partnership commits to:
- inclusive and accessible recruitment
- communicating vacancies
- offering an interview to disabled people
- providing reasonable adjustments
- supporting existing employees
