Tiller, the online wealth manager, has made four senior appointments to its investment team.

Shezad Lakha is appointed Head of Quantitative Investments and Daniel Greenhough is appointed Senior Investment Portfolio Manager. Dr Glenn Baggley and Douglas Shaw join as Directors.

The team will report to Tiller Co-Founder and Chief Investment Officer Jonathan Wauton.

Launched in July 2018, Tiller is an online wealth manager that combines technology with wealth managers and proactive portfolio management.

Shezad Lakha is a CFA charter holder who has spent 20 years in the asset management industry, 18 of which were at Schroders Investment Management. Prior to leaving in January 2017, he was a Senior Portfolio Manager for Quantitative Equity Products where he led a team of quantitative analysts and information technologists managing the firm’s quantitative equity strategies.  Shezad also spent 11 years in the Multi Asset team at Schroders where he helped to develop their quantitative capabilities and was Head of Quantitative Portfolio Construction.

Daniel Greenhough, who joins from Lumin Wealth, is a CFA qualified investment professional with nine years of experience in managing private client portfolios, including serving on the portfolio Selection Committee of Barclays Wealth, London.

Dr Glenn Baggley is a quantitative engineer with over 20 years’ investment expertise. He was the founder of Eddington Capital, an award-winning investment boutique. Glenn was a consultant for Tiller in the early stages of the company’s development and was responsible for the design and implementation of the investment optimization algorithm.

Douglas Shaw has worked in finance for over 30 years and in asset management for 25. He has held senior positions at BlackRock and Gartmore. In 2003 he was founding COO of the Children’s Investment Fund and in 2015 he helped launch Roxbury Asset Management.

All investment team appointees will sit on Tiller’s Investment Committee.

Jonathan Wauton, Chief Investment Officer & Co-Founder of Tiller, said: “We said from the start that Tiller is a company of investment professionals who have embraced technology rather than the other way around. A very important part of our offering, and in many ways our differentiator to other online wealth managers, is the knowledge and experience of our investment team. I am pleased that we have been able to attract the type of talent Doug, Shezad, Glenn and Daniel bring to Tiller. Between them they have worked at some of the most well-known or successful asset managers in the world and their expertise will serve to benefit Tiller’s discerning clients who are looking for a premium online wealth manager and more control over their investments.”
