The UK economy is now 0.2% ahead of its pre-crisis peak (first quarter, 2008).

This was confirmed with figures out this morning from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) which show that the UK economy grew by 0.8% in the second quarter of 2014.

Since the second quarter of 2013, the economy has grown by 3.1%.
