Finli kicks off charity partnerships with a £10k donation

Financial planning business Finli Group has kicked off its new charity partnerships with Alzheimer’s Society and Alzheimer Scotland with a £10,000 donation generated from just two months’ worth of referrals.

The group, whose national footprint covers all corners of the UK, has pledged to make a donation to the charities for every referral it receives.

Alongside the referral scheme, from Monday 8th June, Finli colleagues from across the country will be taking part in sponsored activities to collectively cover the 1,550 miles from Orkney – Finli’s northernmost office – to its office in Arundel in the south of England. Colleagues will be walking, running, and cycling to achieve the mile target.

The national firm will be tracking colleagues’ progress, and it expects to have completed all 1,550 miles by the end of June and hopes in the process to raise an additional £10,000 by the time it completes the last leg and arrives in Arundel.

Anyone who would like to support either of these two charities can do so on the firm’s Alzheimer’s Society and Alzheimer Scotland JustGiving pages.

Commenting on the charity initiative, Finli’s Andy Thompson said: “As a financial planning firm, our purpose is to help people live their best financial life. And as a growing national business, we believe in sharing that success in a way that supports the communities around us.

“Dementia affects nearly one million people across the UK, with many more families and carers supporting loved ones every day. It is a condition that touches countless lives, often bringing emotional, practical and financial challenges.

“Through the relay, and alongside our referral scheme, we hope to make a difference to this worthy cause.”
