Investments by MoneySuperMarket is a new investment platform to make investing simple, affordable and rewarding for everyone, helping more people build for tomorrow, starting today.
Available through MoneySuperMarket’s app, the platform allows customers to open an account, choose either a stocks and shares ISA or a general investment account, and manage their portfolio in one place.
Customers pay zero trading fees and a 0.34% annual platform fee4, helping more of their money stay invested. You can start investing from just £1. Signing up for MoneySuperMarket Investments qualifies for SuperSaveClub membership with your first three months of platform fee credited to your digital wallet, as well as access to rewards, perks and discounts, such as free days out.
Research by MoneySuperMarket found that 70% of UK adults don’t currently invest. Among those that do invest, Stocks and Shares ISAs are the most popular product with 60% of investors saying they hold one. However, the research also revealed that 10% of investors don’t know what type of product they have – highlighting how confusing the market can be.
Investments by MoneySuperMarket has been designed to make it easier to start investing with clear options and support to help customers choose the right products for them. It has clear, upfront pricing with zero trading fees. Once customers have opened an account, they can view and manage their investments in the MoneySuperMarket app, making it easier to stay in control.
It means customers can get started quickly, understand what they are investing in, and feel more in control of their financial decisions.
At launch, customers can choose from a curated range of 40 funds and ETFs which offers:
- Ready-made portfolios, including Vanguard LifeStrategy funds, providing diversified exposure across global markets and a range of risk levels
- Self-directed investments, including individual funds and ETFs such as S&P 500 Tracker Funds for those who want more control
- Choice of whether to invest through a Stocks and Shares ISA or General Investment Account, with flexibility to suit different needs and experience levels.
Supporting MoneySuperMarket’s broader strategy
The launch forms part of MoneySuperMarket’s strategy to become a full-service financial companion, helping customers compare, save, invest and manage their finances in one place.
Investments by MoneySuperMarket sits alongside Savings by MoneySuperMarket and SuperSaveClub – which now has over two and a half million members, expanding the range of tools available to help customers take greater control of their money.
“For many people, investing still feels complicated, expensive and out of reach. We’ve built Investments by MoneySuperMarket to change that, making it simple, affordable and easy to get started, whether you’re investing for the first time, or looking to get more from the investments you already have.
Lis Barton, Chief Customer Officer at MoneySuperMarket
“For over 30 years, MoneySuperMarket has helped households save money, and now we’re helping them invest it too. When you invest with us, the first three months of platform fees will be credited to your SuperSaveClub digital wallet, and you’ll unlock SuperSaveClub membership, with cash rewards when you buy eligible products through MoneySuperMarket, as well as free days out, discounts and perks.”
“This is a major step in our journey to becoming a financial companion for our customers, helping people manage their finances today and take action to grow their money for the future.”
Built on trusted infrastructure
Investments by MoneySuperMarket is powered by Seccl, the FCA-authorised investment technology provider that’s part of the Octopus Group.
As well as safeguarding customers’ cash and assets on MoneySuperMarket’s behalf, Seccl’s API-first infrastructure supports the investment journey behind the platform: enabling customers to open and fund accounts, invest through a stocks and shares ISA or general investment account and connect to the market – all natively within the MoneySuperMarket app.
“MoneySuperMarket is one of the UK’s most trusted consumer finance brands, so its move into investing is a significant moment for the market. Millions of people still find investing too complex, expensive or intimidating, and trusted digital brands have an important role to play in making it feel more accessible.
James Homes, Chief Product Officer at Seccl
“We’re proud to provide the infrastructure behind MoneySuperMarket’s new investment proposition, helping it bring investing into a trusted app where people already compare, save and make financial decisions. It’s a powerful example of how embedded investing can make wealth-building simpler and more accessible for UK consumers.”
“We’re delighted to be the multi-asset provider of choice for Investments by MoneySuperMarket. With a shared focus on helping people achieve better financial outcomes, it’s a natural fit. LifeStrategy provides a diversified portfolio in a single fund, making long-term investing simpler and more accessible.”
