The mutual friendly society CS Healthcare has appointed a new Chairman.

Andrew Johnston gets the top spot, taking over from former Permanent under Secretary of State, Sir Bill Jeffrey KCB, who has served as Chairman since 2011.

Johnston has been a member of the CS Healthcare Board since September 2013 and of the Society’s Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee. He worked at the Government Actuary’s Department (GAD) for more than 30 years, providing actuarial advice on the provision and financial management of employment-based and state pensions. He retired after five years as Deputy Government Actuary and Head of Pensions at GAD. A member of the Management Board of the World Trade Organisation Pension Plan for almost a decade, and a policyholder of CS Healthcare since 1990, Johnston was educated at St Edmund Hall, Oxford.
