As Mental Health Awareness Week runs throughout this week (11-17 May 2026), Propertymark is calling on agents and property professionals across the sector to get behind a new fundraising initiative in support of the Propertymark Trust.
The challenge is officially underway today, Monday 11th May 2026, with Propertymark staff taking on a sponsored static bike ride throughout the week, aiming to collectively cycle 971 miles, the equivalent distance from the most northerly to the most southerly Propertymark member.
The Propertymark team is edging closer to their target, cycling more than 160 miles, and is still counting, as momentum builds behind the fundraising effort.
With four exercise bikes set up across the office, colleagues will be using every spare moment to contribute miles towards the ambitious target, helping raise vital funds for the Propertymark Trust, which provides support to property professionals and their families during times of hardship.
The campaign has been inspired in part by the deeply personal story of Kate Bargery, Executive Assistant at Propertymark, who received crucial support from the Trust after facing multiple cancer diagnoses and the financial and emotional challenges that followed.
By sharing her experience, Kate is helping shine a light on the invaluable role the Trust plays in supporting members of the property profession when they need it most.
Nathan Emerson, CEO of Propertymark, said: “Today marks the start of an important week for Propertymark and the wider sector. This challenge is about more than cycling miles; it’s about coming together as an industry to support colleagues and families facing incredibly difficult circumstances.
The Propertymark Trust continues to provide a lifeline for many people across the profession, and we’re encouraging agents everywhere to get behind the campaign, follow our progress, and donate where possible to help us maximise the impact of this initiative.”
Throughout the week, Propertymark will be sharing updates across its social media channels as the team works towards the 971-mile goal. The industry body is encouraging agents and industry professionals to engage with the campaign, help spread awareness, and contribute to the fundraising effort.
At a time when many across the profession continue to face economic and personal pressures, the initiative highlights the property sector’s strength and its commitment to supporting its own.
Donations of any size will help the Propertymark Trust continue delivering vital support to those in need across the industry.
