Wizz Air February passenger numbers slump 87%

Low cost airline Wizz Air reported an 87.3% slump in February passenger numbers as Covid-19 travel restrictions virtually shut down air travel.
Passenger numbers in February dropped to 382,928, down from 3,014,341 in February 2020, Wizz said on Tuesday. The company’s load factor contracted 24 percentage points to 69.8%.

On a rolling basis, passenger numbers fell to 11.4 million, from 41m at the same point last year, a decline of 72%.
