Hampshire Trust Bank hails inaugural Development Finance Masterclass a success

Hampshire Trust Bank (HTB) held its first Development Finance Masterclass event for brokers on Wednesday 27th September in Central London.

The masterclass provided a practical introduction to development finance for brokers who had had some level of experience and exposure to development finance enquiries but wanted to deepen their knowledge and understanding of this sector.

The exclusive day of in-depth learning provided practical advice and networking from Alex Upton and Uliana Kuzmis from the HTB development finance team, as well as guest speakers Helen Johnston from JMW Solicitors LLP and Max Vernon Jones, Monitoring Surveyor at HTB.

The over-subscribed event covered topics such as top underwriting secrets; development finance enquiries; construction training and legal due diligence.

Alex Upton, managing director, development finance, Hampshire Trust Bank, commented:

“At HTB we understand the importance of educating brokers on all matters development finance and it was the key driver for holding our first ever Masterclass.

“We were very pleased with the turnout and level of engagement from those who attended. The feedback we received was that brokers increased their knowledge of the development finance market and as a consequence feel much more confident in placing more enquiries.

“We certainly plan to hold more such events over the coming months, so watch this space.”
