Square Mile Investment Consulting and Research (Square Mile) has boosted its Research & Consulting team through the appointment of Lousie Babin as a Senior Investment Research Analyst. Bringing some 20 years’ experience of fund research and portfolio management spanning all asset classes, at Square Mile Louise will have particular responsibility for the analysis of fixed income strategies.
Louise previously worked for Morningstar as a Senior Manager Research Analyst, focussing on fixed income, global macro and alternative and absolute return strategies. She was also a voting member of the firm’s EMEA and Global Ratings Committees and collaborated with the Manager Selection and Investment Management teams in providing consultancy to external clients.
Louise joined Morningstar from Aviva Investors, where, as a Senior Multi-Manager Analyst, she provided recommendations to multi-manager clients and internal investment teams across UK equities, high yield debt, strategic fixed income and multi-asset strategies. Prior to this, she was a Senior Collectives Analyst and Portfolio Manager at Charles Stanley, advising internal investment managers as well as having responsibility for portfolio management. Earlier roles include Research Analyst at Buck Consultants; Senior Investment Manager at GHC Capital Markets and Portfolio & Fund Manager at Berkeley Fund Managers.
