St. James’s Place Announces Chartered Award Winners for 2023 and Unveils New Responsible Business Award

Rhiannon Gogh of PlanIt Future Financial Limited was named St. James’s Place (SJP) 2023 Chartered Planner of the Year yesterday at the firm’s 7thAnnual Chartered Symposium, which took place in the City of London.

Rhiannon was one of five chartered planners shortlisted for the award which recognises an individual who has raised professional standards and demonstrated a commitment to their profession and to their clients within their area of expertise.

With over 25 years in the financial advice industry, Rhiannon started her career in 1999 and established PlanIt Future Financial Limited an SJP Partner Practice, in 2021 after joining SJP in 2017.

Commenting on the accolade, Rhiannon said: “I am thrilled to be SJP Chartered Planner of the Year 2023. Providing clients with high quality advice is hugely important in this industry and I feel honoured to have been recognised for this.  Financial Advice can be transformational for the parents and carers of those with disabilities speaking from lived experience as I am a carer for my son who lives with Autism. I am proud to have supported this community for the past 7 year and thankful for the colleagues and clients that I have worked with along the way.”

In a new award category, Jeremy Chapman was named SJP’s Responsible Business of the Year 2023. This award celebrates businesses that aim to have a positive and lasting impact on society, and the actions they are undertaking to do this. Jeremy was praised for his innovative and far-reaching approach which included pro bono work in the local community, supporting the next generation through his work on the Violent Crime Prevention Board, and the establishment of a non for profit ‘Honestley’ in Africa.

Other winners at this year’s symposium included Sycamore Alliance Limited, Megan Gardner as SJP 2023 Paraplanner of the Year, Tweed Wealth Management as SJP 2023 Chartered Firm of the Year and Ceri Griffiths as SJP 2023 Vulnerability Champion of the Year.

Edward Grant, director responsible for professional development at St. James’s Place, commented: “These awards are a way for us to recognise good practice across our partnership and highlight those that are going above and beyond for our clients. In an industry where high-quality client service is incredibly important, all five of our winners should be incredibly proud of their achievements.

“Now in the seventh year of the symposium, we’re delighted to introduce our new Responsible Business award and celebrate Sycamore Alliance Limited as a firm that has had a positive and lasting impact not just on their clients but also on society as a whole.

“We are committed to the ongoing development of all of the SJP Partnership, so it is wonderful to see our wealth managers and firms continually striving to grow their knowledge and skills, and to watch them become better equipped to provide high quality advice as a result.”
