The Income Protection Task Force (IPTF) has announced further expansion with the addition of 4 new members added to the now 39 strong membership base comprising organisations from right across the protection industry.
The four new members, Swiss Re, Instanda, RGI Solutions and Fineos, joined in February and add to the range of organisations that now support the work of the IPTF. Commenting on the expanding membership, Managing Director Jo Miller said:
“A growing membership is a fantastic endorsement of our work, and the continued growth of IPTF reflects a shared ambition across the market to strengthen and modernise income protection. Bringing together insurers, reinsurers and technology partners and the resulting breadth of expertise amongst our membership ensures the IPTF remains a true catalyst for innovation, collaboration and better consumer outcomes.”
Nathan Hill, Head L&H Client Markets UK&I, Director, Market Units L&H Reinsurance at Swiss Re commented, “Swiss Re is delighted to be part of the IPTF once again alongside so many other influential organisations in the UK protection market. We are excited to support its important work in improving access to our products through innovation in proposition and journey, as well as promoting the importance of education and awareness”
Michael Kelly, CEO at FINEOS added: “As a market leader in core systems for income protection, FINEOS is delighted to join the Income Projection Task Force and contribute to its work supporting the UK income protection industry. This collaboration aligns with our vision of a world where protection from illness, injury, and loss is accessible to everyone, and with our purpose of helping customers care for the people they serve through superior insurance technology. From our Dublin headquarters, FINEOS continues to support insurers globally across the Life, Accident & Health, and Employee Benefits markets.”
So far this year, the IPTF has used January to focus on education as a theme, launching an AI Avatar, Airi, who shares educational content on the organisation’s social channels on “Wisdom Wednesdays”, augmented by technical educational content guides being released on the last Wednesday of every month. Also in line with the theme of education, the LetsTalkIP podcast returns on February 19th , and the IPTF has also launched a video for advisers to use to explain the need for income protection. Finally, the flagship educational event from the IPTF, Income Protection Action Week, has been confirmed for the week commencing 21st September with the usual format, including free to attend online webinars each day across the week between 12 and 1.
