National IFA firm Continuum saw a 39% increase (year on year) in annual turnover to £10.51m for the year ending 31 December 2021.

The financial planning firm has experienced a phenomenal 66% growth over the past two years.

Assets under influence continued to grow through the year. Assets at 31 December 2021 were £1.49bn, an increase of 30% year on year.

Ongoing recurring income also rose 39% year on year.

December was a record month with a banked income of over £1m, a 46% increase year on year.

New business written income for the year rose by 34% year on year, as new enquiries reach record levels.

The national IFA firm’s partnership with the 2020 Innovation and their UK wide accountancy connections broke records in terms of client numbers and business written. Continuum’s overall income from this strategic partnership rose 67% year on year.

Continuum continues to experience success in recruiting high-quality advisers, and now has 57 quality hand-picked advisers across the UK. It expects the number to materially increase in 2022.

Martin Brown, Managing Partner at Continuum, said: “We have seen a huge uplift in new enquiries over the past 12 months as our brand recognition continues to grow. More people are seeking quality advice and our amazing client outcomes and net promoter scores driven by our people-first culture have drawn many of these consumers into the Continuum fold.

“As our reputation as a high-quality advice firm grows, we have also benefited from an intake of new advisers who have embraced our Partner Charter and thrived within our partnership.

“The partnership’s existing advisers also thrived in 2021, benefiting from an enhanced proposition. Our investment in developing advisers and freeing them up to provide a consistently exceptional personal service to their clients has been critical to our success.

“Last month, a new major milestone was achieved, as we exceeded £1m turnover in a single month for the first time. An outcome that we have been building up to throughout 2021 and one which also saw us break through the landmark of exceeding £10m annualised turnover.

“Continuum has entered 2022 as a well-established top 1% UK financial advisory firm with an incredible platform as we grow bigger, better, and stronger.”

During the last two years Continuum has invested heavily in its infrastructure particularly in its marketing capability, adviser portal, client service support and investment proposition.

Client satisfaction is at the heart of Continuum. The firm’s latest Net Promoter score of over 98 demonstrates the results of this ethos.

During the year Continuum also launched a new website. The website launch was a success and has led to a 24% increase in website audience (year on year) and a 38% increase in new visitors.

In 2021 Continuum was also awarded Associate Firm Status through the Personal Finance Society in recognition of its approach to high-quality business standards.

It was also one of the first firms in UK financial services to be awarded an ESG accreditation in recognition of its approach to environment, social responsibility, and governance matters.

Brown said: “As one of the first firms to be awarded ESG accreditation and having secured associate firm status we see growth in our brand awareness and professional reputation as a driver of significant future growth. Our creative marketing and client communications continue to share our unique values, expertise and offering.”
