CF Woodford Equity Income has picked up an Analyst Rating of Bronze from Morningstar OBSR.
The CF Woodford Equity Income is managed by Neil Woodford, who founded Woodford IM in 2014.
Morningstar OBSR,a leading provider of independent qualitative investment research and consultancy, said: “Mr Woodford has been managing UK equity income funds since 1988 and is one of the longest serving managers within the industry. The strategy of this fund is clear, and aims to generate a positive capital return in the long term and grow the income whilst offering capital preservation.
“The strategy used is identical to the Invesco Perpetual Income funds he ran with high conviction, patience and passion. He has proven himself willing to stick to his strategy even during periods of poor performance. As a result his long-term track record, which encompasses numerous market cycles, is strong. Morningstar OBSR has therefore awarded the fund a Bronze rating.”
Morningstar OBSR delivers views on around 900 funds and provides asset allocation and portfolio construction consultancy services to life, pension and fund-of-funds providers.
