At GBI Magazine, we are putting EIS on trial. Hear from a courtroom of experts in the financial space, one side defending EIS, one side prosecuting, and a judge to orchestrate the discussion. You, our readers, will be the jury, and will help us make the ultimate decision on whether EIS is worth investing in the future.
Along with the EIS on trial webinar, which will take place on Thursday the 19th of October at 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM BST, we have run a series of poll questions across our Twitter account to further get our audience and readers opinions surrounding EIS and whether or not they feel that it is a worthy investment.
The first set of questions were posted to the GBI & IFA Magazine’s Twitter accounts on the 22nd of September 2023. The results, along with the questions can be seen below:
- Currently, would you vote for or against EIS for your clients?
62.5% voted for EIS, with a smaller minority of 37.5% voting against EIS for their clients
- Do you believe in the future of EIS?
83% voted yes, resulting in a 16.7% minority voting no
- Do you have a positive or negative viewpoint around EIS?.
71.4% voted that they have a positive viewpoint surrounding EIS, with 14.3% voting for a negative viewpoint
Based on the results of the first poll, it is clear that the majority of participants have an overall positive perception of EIS
The second set of questions were posted on October the 6th 2023, and the results can be seen below:
- Do you believe that EIS is a risk worth taking?
100% of participants voted yes, that they do believe EIS is a risk worth taking
- Do you believe that the positives of investing in EIS outweighs the negatives?
66.7% voted that they believe that the positives outweigh the negatives, with 16.7% voting that they don’t believe the positives outweigh the negatives
- Have you had a positive influential impact with EIS in the past?
33.3% voted yes, with 66.7% voted that they are still currently undecided
