The judge:
Lawrence Gosling (Artemis Investment Management) will ask the audience to vote at the outset on the likelihood of their using EIS in the current
tax year.

 
 

The case for the prosecution:
Led by Martin Fox (Director of Marketing, Bulletin), drawing on years of research finding out the main barriers to advisers in using EIS. Witnesses to include Henry Whorwood from Beauhurst, looking at the failure rates of small companies, and Simon Williams of IFA Cooper Parry, who has agreed to talk about the issues he faces on EIS.

The case for the defence:
Stephen Jones has agreed to lead the defence. Witnesses to include representative speakers from Hardman, Par Equity, Haatch Ventures, GrowthInvest, investee companies, PI brokers and more.

The jury:
The viewing audience, our readers, who will be invited to ask questions and vote on likelihood of using EIS in the future, helping us reach a final verdict.
