Following closely behind, Westminster is anticipated to continue its growth, reaching £107,515 million in the next 7 years, largely due to its central location and economic significance.

Both Glasgow and Edinburgh follow in fourth and fifth place, respectively, and are major financial centres, hosting a significant number of banks, insurance companies, and financial institutions.

The capital of Wales, Cardiff, is set to achieve a GDP of £55,731 million in the coming years. It has become a thriving hub for various industries, and recent strategic investments in infrastructure and transport have boosted economic activity in the region.

While these cities are expected to lead in GDP growth, other areas across the UK are also making substantial contributions to the nation’s economy. Belfast, Manchester, and Leeds, among others, are forecasted to continue their upward trajectory, contributing significantly to the UK’s overall economic growth.

Lance Jones, Founder and CEO, commented on the research, saying, “It’s insightful to see where in the UK will be leading the growth of our economy in the coming years and it’s great to see Manchester is amongst the top 10 and why investment in the region is going to be so key in the coming years.”

“This forecast provides valuable insights for businesses, investors, and policymakers as it highlights areas of economic opportunity and potential for collaboration. As these regions continue to thrive, they are likely to attract further investment, talent, and innovation.”
