What about timings?
Think of Google as a hungry teenager. It likes to be fed little and often.
A post every six months isn’t going to be as effective as posting once a month. Once a week would give your website a real growth spurt in terms of SEO, but if that sounds time consuming, don’t worry, we’ll come back to this in a bit.

Backlinked content
The other piece of the jigsaw is ‘backlinks’. This is when your website gets links from other websites, which further helps to tell Google you’re a trusted source – as long as they’re trusted too.
You can find out a website’s level of authority by looking at its ‘domain rating’ or ‘DR’. The higher the rating the better.
So try guest posting on other partner or provider websites with a high DR. By being linked to that site, you’ll inherit some of their authority too.
So where do you start?
To start, you need to get into the minds of your target audience, or, even better, your individual client personas. These are the people you really want to do business with. Focusing on the needs of these people will help you attract them – and filter out the people who aren’t the right fit for your business.
What do they want to know the answers to? What keeps them awake at night? How do you solve those issues for them? This information is going to form the basis of your content.
A good place to start with this is to make a note of the questions you get asked most frequently. Use this to construct your editorial calendar. Having a calendar of topics and deadlines will help you to stick a regular posting schedule.
But how can you possibly churn out this content at that rate?
There are ways round this: Throughout the month, make a note of thoughts, ideas, links to articles that relate to that month’s topic. Once a month, dictate your article into a Dictaphone app such as Google Speechnotes. Edit those notes into your piece.
Even better, talk to someone like me who will ghost write the piece quickly and professionally for you, including the relevant search terms that are going to help your piece to get noticed.
