Portfolio Thinking is delighted to announce the appointment of Neil Brown as Founder and Director. A highly respected sales leader with 28 years of asset management and distribution experience, Brown joins the firm to further strengthen its offering to financial advisers, wealth managers, and institutional clients across the UK.
Brown brings a wealth of top-tier industry expertise to Portfolio Thinking. He spent over two decades at M&G Investments, beginning his career as a Product Specialist on the firm’s highly acclaimed Fixed Income team. He subsequently transitioned into distribution, successfully leading M&G’s Discretionary and Wealth channels across the UK, South Africa, and the Middle East. He ultimately took full responsibility for UK Distribution at M&G, overseeing the Adviser, Wealth, and Institutional sales channels. Most recently, Brown served as Head of UK Distribution at Allianz Global Investors, a role he took on in 2019.
“I have had the pleasure of knowing Neil for over two decades, and his reputation in the UK distribution landscape is simply second to none,” said Dan Kemp on behalf of Portfolio Thinking. “Bringing someone of Neil’s calibre and pedigree on board is a clear testament to our ambition and the opportunities we see to support advisers around the world. Neil has a deep understanding of the evolving needs of advisers and is the ideal leader to build our client team around. I am excited to be working alongside him as we grow the business.”
“I am delighted to be joining Dan in our new venture, Portfolio Thinking” added Neil Brown. “Dan is held in high regard across our industry and rightly so. I’m really looking forward to the challenge of growing a business from the ground up. The importance of sound financial advice has never been greater and yet advisers and planners are constantly being pulled in different directions. Portfolio Thinking aims to alleviate this burden by delivering exceptional investment solutions, clarity of messaging and regulatory peace of mind. I cannot wait to get to work.”
Brown’s appointment underscores Portfolio Thinking’s commitment to providing institutional-quality investment insights to advice firms across the globe.
