Schroders today launches its latest active exchange traded fund (ETF) in Europe, further expanding its range of products as clients increasingly seek active investment exposure through ETFs.

The Schroder US Equity Active UCITS ETF aims to provide capital growth and income in excess of the S&P 500 Index after fees over a three-to-five-year period by investing across equities in North America.

This latest expansion of Schroders’ ETF platform coincides with the firm passing $2.8 billion in assets under management (AUM) across its UCITS ETF franchise, pushing Schroders into the top 10 by assets of UCITS Active ETF providers. This continued strong demand for its active ETFs saw the firm accumulate net new assets of $2 billion year-to-date[1].

Managed by Lukas Kamblevicius, Co-Head of Schroders’ Quantitative Equity Products (QEP) Investment Team, the ETF will adopt the Schroder QEP US Core strategy. This is an actively managed strategy drawing on a more than 20-year track record, focused on delivering consistent outperformance across a range of market environments with lower relative risk to its benchmark.

The ETF will see its first listings today on Xetra and Borsa Italiana, followed by further listings on the London Stock Exchange and SIX Swiss Exchange over the coming weeks.

The launch is part of Schroders’ continued focus on broadening its active ETF offering in response to evolving client demand, building on the firm’s launch of its first two active ETFs in Europe last September, and the launch of an ESG customised active ETF in January.

Tom Stephens, Head of ETFs, Schroders, said:

“Reaching $2.8 billion in assets under management across our ETF franchise and entering the top ten active UCITS ETF managers is testament to our ability to innovate, move quickly and, most importantly, respond to evolving client demand across markets and regions.

“The launch of the Schroder US Equity Active UCITS ETF broadens our core equity offering, combining our active management expertise with the flexibility, transparency and accessibility clients increasingly expect from ETFs.”

Lukas Kamblevicius, Co-Head of Schroders’ Quantitative Equity Products (QEP), Schroders, said:

“The US equity market presents a broad and dynamic opportunity set, where a systematic and disciplined investment approach can help identify consistent sources of return.

“This strategy – now available in a new ETF wrapper – is designed to deliver a diversified exposure to US equities, with a focus on achieving attractive outcomes for clients over the long term.”
