St. James’s Place today announces the appointment of Chris Teschmacher as Director of the CIO Office, serving as a key link between SJP’s Investment team, the Partnership and external stakeholders.
With nearly two decades in the industry, Teschmacher has experience across a range of asset classes and roles. Most recently, he was a Fund Manager and Head of the Asset Allocation Investment Specialist team at Legal & General Asset Management.
As Director of the CIO Office, Teschmacher will work closely with the Chief Investment Officer to help lead the development of SJP’s investment business, supporting governance, investment processes and the continued evolution of the firm’s investment proposition. He will also lead the development and delivery of the firm’s investment narrative, ensuring consistent, high-quality communication to clients, Partners and employees, while overseeing the investment and product specialist teams.
The appointment of Chris follows that of several senior external hires made in SJP’s investment team this year, including Lea Blinoff, Director of Investment Solutions, Anu Sindwani, Head of Product Specialists and Anthony McDonald, Multi Asset Portfolio Manager. Teschmacher joins St. James’s Place later in July, where he will work closely with Chief Investment Officer, Justin Onuekwusi to support the continued growth of the firm’s investment proposition.
“I’m delighted to welcome Chris to the team at such an exciting time for the business and to have the opportunity to work together. Drawing on his experience at L&G, Chris brings valuable knowledge and expertise that will strengthen the CIO Office, support the continued development of our investment proposition and enhance how we engage with clients and Partners.”
Justin Onuekwusi, Chief Investment Officer at St. James’s Place
“After 11 years at L&G, I’m proud of what I’ve achieved and excited to start a new chapter with SJP. The firm has a distinctive investment approach, a strong focus on client outcomes and clear ambitions for the future. I look forward to working with Justin and the wider team to help shape the continued evolution of the investment proposition, strengthen engagement with Partners and clients, and support the long-term success of the investment business.”
