We are delighted to present the latest in our IFA Annual Report Series, the Sustainable Investment Research Report 2023. This report provides a detailed look into the world of ESG Sustainable Investment with key information provided by leaders in the space such as UBS, Close Brothers Asset Management and SRI Services.

In this report we investigate the legitimacy of investment funds claiming to be “ESG funds”, new FCA reporting standards and how funds are currently graded according to their contributions toward sustainability. We also look at new Consumer Duty standards, the impact this has on firms and what this all means for advisers and their clients.

Published during UKSIF’S Good Money Week, this report aims to promote sustainability in the financial advisory space, whilst highlighting the obstacles standing in the way of a more ‘ESG’ focused future. We are proud of the various contributions to this report from the likes of UBS highlighting alternative approaches to investing in US equities, Julia Dreblow from SRI Services discussing what’s next for advisers and their clients during this period of transition, and Close Brothers on the energy trilemma.

We have also published several pages from the Sustainable Development Goals Report 2023, which highlight some crucial red flags about reaching our global targets for 2023, whilst underscoring the key insights for changing the course of the future and helping deliver on international goals for sustainability.
