Vitality has announced the appointment of Adam Murphy as Group Chief Finance Officer, effective from 1 July 2026. Adam will oversee the finance functions across all of Vitality’s international operations, including the UK, US, Asia and our partner markets, while remaining regulatory CFO for the UK Health and Life businesses.

Adam succeeds Justin Skinner, who will retire from executive roles following a long and distinguished career and will focus on a portfolio of non-executive roles.

Since joining Vitality in 2017 as Group Chief Risk Officer, Justin has held several senior leadership roles, including Managing Director of VitalityLife and Group Chief Finance Officer, making a significant contribution to the growth of the business in the UK and internationally.

Adam has served as UK Chief Finance Officer since late 2024. He joined Vitality in 2013 as Head of Financial Reporting from PwC, where he trained as a chartered accountant, and has since held several senior finance roles across both the Health and Life businesses.

With more than a decade of experience across the organisation, he brings a deep understanding of Vitality’s operations, partners and growth ambitions, positioning him well to take on this expanded role across the wider Group.

“Adam’s appointment reflects his exceptional contribution to Vitality over the past 13 years. Having worked across both our Health and Life businesses, most recently as UK CFO, he brings deep experience, strong leadership and a thorough understanding of our operations. We look forward to seeing him continue to strengthen our finance function and support our ambitions going forward. I also want to thank Justin, who has played a significant role in Vitality’s success and growth over many years. His leadership, expertise and commitment have had a lasting impact on the business, and we are extremely grateful for his contribution. On behalf of everyone at Vitality, I would like to thank Justin and wish him the very best for the future.”

Neville Koopowitz, Group Chief Executive Officer at Vitality

“It has been a privilege to be part of Vitality’s journey over the past nine years and to work alongside such talented colleagues across the business. I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved together and leave knowing the organisation is well-positioned for the future. I wish Adam and the team every success in the years ahead.”

Reflecting on his career, Justin Skinner

“I’m delighted to take on this expanded role. Having spent more than a decade at Vitality, I’ve had the privilege of working with teams from across the organisation and seeing first-hand what makes our business unique. I look forward to working closely with our international teams as we continue to support our members, partners and the long-term success of the Group.”

Adam Murphy, Group Chief Finance Officer at Vitality
