Investment management firm JM Finn & Co has a new head for its Yorkshire office.

Andrew Aitken moves from UBS Wealth Management and will take over the regional management responsibilities from investment director David Barstow. He will also support the firm’s business development efforts. Aitken has worked in the investment management industry since 1997 both in London and in his native Yorkshire.

Aitken said: “JM Finn’s approach to investment management, which focusses on offering a very personal service, is in huge demand from private clients and professional intermediaries alike, and I look forward to helping JM Finn & Co continue their work in becoming the investment manager of choice for private clients in Yorkshire.”

Barstow said: “I am delighted that Andrew has joined the business. His experience and enthusiasm will help us enormously and allow me, after 11 happy years as Head of the office, to focus solely on managing my clients’ investment portfolios.”

JM Finn has been in Yorkshire since 2002 and currently has eight investment managers, with nearly £500m of client funds under management and administration.
