Scottish Widows appoints Dena Brumpton as non-executive director

Scottish Widows today announced the appointment of Dena Brumpton to the company’s Board as a non‑executive director.

Dena is an independent, strategic and forward‑thinking leader with a reputation for delivering business growth through innovative approaches. She brings over 30 years of corporate, investment and private banking experience spanning strategy, customer experience, digital business, sales, marketing and operational management.

Dena was formerly Chief Executive Officer of Barclays Savings, Investments & Wealth Management (UK), having previously spent three decades at Citigroup in London, New York, Tokyo and Jersey. At Citi, she held global COO and CAO positions across the Corporate & Investment Bank and Private Bank, focusing on business strategy, client experience, operational risk, digital and sales, marketing, operations and technology. Earlier in her career she held leadership roles in asset management and corporate finance.

She has over five years’ experience as a non‑executive director and currently serves on the Boards of BUPA Insurance and Stonehage Fleming Family Partners.
