The Income Protection Task Force (IPTF) has launched Protect your everyday – The Building Blocks of Life, a simple animated video, under two minutes long, designed to help explain what income protection is and why it plays a vital role in financial resilience.
Using clear, character-led storytelling, the animation brings to life the practical and emotional impact of losing an income, providing an accessible starting point for conversations about protection.
The video is intended to be used by qualified financial advisers as part of a regulated advice process. It can be used before a meeting to introduce the topic, during discussions to add context and explain how income protection works, or afterwards to reinforce key messages and client understanding, supporting clear, fair communication in line with Consumer Duty expectations.
