Mark Allcock joins Lyfeguard as Co-founder and CTO to support business growth

Lyfeguard, the secure digital platform built to address the growing complexity of modern life by providing a structured system of record for critical documents, financial details and key personal information, has today announced that Mark Allcock (pictured) has joined the company as Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

Allcock will strengthen Lyfeguard’s leadership team as the business enters its next stage of growth focused on building resilient, secure infrastructure for managing life’s essential information.

He brings over 30 years of leadership in technology roles across financial services, payments, digital banking and lending. As Co-founder and CTO of 10x Future Technologies, he played a central role in building cloud-native banking platforms designed to operate at national scale. His career also includes senior roles and programme leadership with organisations such as Citibank, Credit Suisse, JP Morgan, VISA Europe and Barclays, as well as extensive work with E-money and EMI-regulated businesses.

In addition to his executive experience, Mark has advised a wide range of financial institutions on complex transformation and platform delivery, including ING, UBS, Lloyds Banking Group, Saudi Hollandi Bank, Neyber, Salary Finance and Future Finance.

As CTO, Mark will lead Lyfeguard’s technology strategy, with responsibility for platform architecture, security, scalability and long-term resilience. His appointment reflects Lyfeguard’s focus on building infrastructure that individuals, families and professionals can rely on at critical moments in life.

Gary Stewart, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Lyfeguard, said:

“This is a pivotal appointment for Lyfeguard. Mark has built and scaled some of the most demanding platforms in financial services, and he understands what it takes to design technology that is secure, resilient and trusted over the long term. That experience will be invaluable as we continue to grow and support more people and professionals.”

Fraser Stewart, Co-founder and Chief Commercial Officer of Lyfeguard, added:

“Lyfeguard is trusted with information that truly matters, often at moments of stress, change or loss. Mark’s leadership will ensure we continue building technology that is secure today and designed to support families and professionals reliably for years to come.”

Mark Allcock added:

“Lyfeguard is tackling a problem that is both deeply human and technically complex: how essential information is organised, protected and accessed across a lifetime. I’m excited to join the team at this stage and help build a platform that people can depend on with confidence, especially when it matters most.”
