Working To Wellbeing has launched its inaugural annual Impact Report, revealing its 2025 outcomes data, plus various case studies, to help raise awareness and understanding of the value of Vocational Rehabilitation.
The report reveals that Working To Wellbeing helped 7 in 10 (70%) people overall to remain in or return to work. That includes 8 in 10 (80%) recovering from cancer, over 7 in 10 (73%) with a neurodivergent condition and nearly 9 in 10 (87%) going through menopause.
Working To Wellbeing provides Vocational Rehabilitation coaching to help people stay in or return to work, whatever their complex health needs or chronic challenges, and however long they’ve been out of work.
The provider says the data helps highlight the complexity of cases and the importance of early intervention. For example, the return-to-work success rate drops to 43% for those off work for more than 12 months.
Blending health and work support, Working To Wellbeing says its approach to Vocational Rehabilitation is highly personalised; centred on human connection.
The professionally registered multidisciplinary team brings together experts in behaviour change science, health psychology, occupational therapy and physiotherapy. Plus dietitians, career coaches and mental health nurses.
“Vocational Rehabilitation is not an optional add-on. It is a core, evidence-based component of any effective stay-in-work and return-to-work strategy. Especially in smaller businesses, where support can be fragmented, data-light and increasingly digital, losing the human connection people need.
The Keep Britain Working review insists that change is urgently needed to help the UK tackle rising sickness absence and economic inactivity. And as a Vanguard employer and provider, we have the experience to help employers of all sizes enable this change, either working with us directly or via intermediaries or insurers.
Evidence matters. For that reason – and much more – we’ve launched our inaugural impact report, with a view to reporting annually. We hope to show, through our data and case studies, how Vocational Rehabilitation is the missing piece employers need, blending health and work support, to help employees stay in and return to sustained employment.”
