CISI appoints Karen Ashcroft as Global Finance Director

The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment has announced the appointment of Karen Ashcroft as its new Global Director of Finance.


 

Prior to joining CISI Karen was Head of Finance and Company Secretary with GAN PLC London and before that Group Financial Controller at Euromoney Institutional Investor.

After graduating from the University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand Karen qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young, Christchurch.

 
 

She enjoys travelling in her spare time and has taken a career break during which she trekked in the Himalayas, through parts of Tibet, Bhutan and Nepal. She also enjoys running and watching rugby.

Simon Culhane, Chartered FCSI, CISI CEO said: “We are delighted to have appointed Karen, whose range of experience and commercial expertise reflects senior positions across publishing, financial information, telecoms and professional services sectors. We look forward to welcoming her to the team.”

Ashcroft said: “This is a wonderful opportunity to join Simon and his leadership team at CISI. I look forward to transitioning into the role in the coming weeks.”
