The Income Protection Task Force (IPTF) has confirmed its membership for 2026, welcoming new organisations and strengthening its growing community of supporters. Membership now stands at 35 organisations, alongside a number of long-standing affiliations with key industry bodies and distributors, all committed to driving positive change for protection. Full details of IPTF members are available at iptf.co.uk
Looking ahead to 2026, IPTF is excited to work closely with its members on a wide range of new and evolving initiatives designed to increase awareness, engagement and ultimately the uptake of protection. Planned activity includes IPAW, the popular 7 Claims Stories series, a third season of the Let’s Talk IP podcast, the use of AI to support adviser education and continued government lobbying. Alongside these established programmes, several new and exciting initiatives are also in development.
Daren Boys, Protection Portfolio Distribution Director at Aviva, commented: “At Aviva, we are very much alongside IPTF again in ’26 in support of creating wider awareness of the importance of income protection as a key cornerstone of financial resilience for customers.”
The past year has been another milestone for the not-for-profit organisation. During 2025, IPTF grew its membership, delivered IPAW to the largest audience to date, hosted presentations and webinars across the industry, and continued its Profile of an Income Protection Customer research series in association with Iress. Just some of the many projects delivered throughout the year.
Shelley Walker, Head of Marketing at The Exeter, added, “Being part of IPTF is about more than membership. It’s about shared ambition. Together, we turn great individual efforts into collective progress, driving meaningful change and improving outcomes across the protection market. We’re excited to be part of this journey and look forward to what the year ahead brings”
With a strong and expanding membership, IPTF is looking ahead to 2026 with real momentum and enthusiasm, focused on working together to champion protection and support advisers, the industry and consumers alike.
