PFS celebrates over 100 new Chartered and Fellow members in graduation ceremonies

On Friday (24 November) the Personal Finance Society (PFS) celebrated the graduation of 57 Fellows and 58 Chartered members in two ceremonies at Westminster Chapel.

Alongside master of ceremonies David Vickery, Hazel Bowen spoke about her career highlights, including her journey to becoming Chartered and receiving the prestigious Chartered Financial Planner of the Year for 2022. PFS Board member, Daniel Williams, delivered his congratulations to the attendees, and spoke about how they are shaping the future of the profession.

PFS Chartered status is recognised by peers and those seeking advice as a symbol of technical competence and public commitment to professional standards. Independent research confirms that those seeking advice are more likely to choose and individual or firm that is ‘Chartered’.

Becoming a Fellow of the PFS is the most prestigious level of professional achievement. PFS members must have completed the Level 6 Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning qualification, and have acquired a total of 350 credits, which can be achieved via additional Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) units, or recognition of prior learning for non-CII (regulated) qualifications.

Anthony Ward, PFS President, said: “I wish to extend my congratulations to all those graduating today, as Chartered members or Fellows of the Personal Finance Society. The time and dedication required to achieve the skills and knowledge to be recognised as Chartered or a Fellow of the PFS is significant, but so is the recognition that follows.  These are exceptional accomplishments, that collectively help to build public trust and strengthen professional standards across our profession.”
