PlannerPal introduces video-powered meeting notes for financial advisers

PlannerPal, an AI-powered workflow for financial advisers and wealth managers, has today added a new video analysis capability to its Meeting Notes tool.

The capability extracts structured data from documents presented during client meetings, such as investment presentations, performance data or cash flow modelling, to summarise all elements of the meeting, not just what was said.

With meetings becoming increasingly visual, the video analysis capability has been developed in response to growing demand from advisers. AI meeting tools typically rely on transcripts alone to generate summaries, often missing important context in the process. The capability allows advisers to capture a more holistic view of their interactions with clients and improve accuracy, cut admin and strengthen compliance.

The capability forms part of PlannerPal’s customisable meeting note framework, where outputs are configured to match each firm’s workflows, operating model and required data capture. It combines with a growing set of inputs within the framework, such as CRM cross-checking, which validates and enriches notes using live data from Iress Xplan and Intelliflo, to enhance efficiency.    

Together, these inputs lead to fewer errors, higher quality data and a reduced reliance on transcript-only outputs for post-meeting follow-ups. Alongside this, a clearer record of what was actually discussed, shown and agreed in a meeting generates a stronger, more defensible audit trail of advice conversations, protecting both advisers and clients in the long-run.

The announcement represents another step towards deeper, more relevant AI for financial advisers. It adds to the breadth of PlannerPal’s platform, which supports advisers across their full workflow, from pre-meeting preparation packs through to automated CRM updates.
