(Sharecast News) – Engineering company Wood Group said it had won a $130m services contract from Spirit Energy to extend the life of its Morecambe Bay gas fields in the UK.
The five-year consolidated contract will see Wood work on extending field life, lowering costs and reducing carbon intensity across the hub’s offshore assets in the Irish Sea and the Barrow onshore gas terminal in England.
The contract will employ approximately 130 people across the offshore assets and onshore terminal and a small support team in Aberdeen, Wood said on Tuesday.
