YFM Equity Partners has seen a substantial 32% increase in its AUM in the past 12 months.

Fundraising achievements included a landmark £95.5 million close for the firm’s Buyout Fund III, which exceeded the original £80 million target and represented the highest amount raised to-date by a YFM Buyout Fund. The fund attracted a high number of repeat investors – 70 per cent – a clear reflection of the impressive performance to date from Buyout Funds I and II.

Despite a challenging market backdrop, YFM Equity Partner’s managed British Smaller Companies Venture Capital Trusts (VCTs) closed with £90m of committed funds in March achieving their target.

“Investor appetite for supporting high quality, high-growth UK SMEs is evidenced by our recent fundraising performance, which has been well in excess of the target we set ourselves at the start of the year.” explains Dan Perkins, Investor Relations Partner. “With a strong pipeline in place, YFM is well positioned to support fast growing SMEs across the UK and access the market for M&A opportunities via its regional office network. It’s crucial to have adequate funds not only for supporting our current portfolio on their growth journeys but also for fulfilling the needs of new investments, giving the growing number of UK SMEs the capital, networks and expertise required to fuel their growth.”

YFM has allocated over £52 million in new and follow-on investments in the past year alone. Notable investments include £6.57 million in GEEIQ, a UK-based metaverse data intelligence specialist; £9.3 million in Resulting IT, a business-side SAP consultancy; and a £10 million investment in DrDoctor, a leading health tech company.

The British Smaller Companies VCT was first listed in 1996 with British Smaller Companies 2 VCT following in 2000. The two funds are amongst the longest-running VCTs on the market, with over 15,000 shareholders.
