Hargreaves Lansdown has appointed Chris Hill as its new Chief Financial Officer. He is expected to join the Bristol-based IFAs in March next year, moving from his current position as CFO at IG Group. He’s been there for four years and previous experience includes jobs at Travelex, General Electric and Arthur Andersen.
Tracey Taylor, the previous Hargreaves Lansdown CFO, left in December 2014 after being at the firm for 15 years.

Hill’s appointment is subject to regulatory approval and until he moves over, Simon Cleveland, a Partner from Deloitte LLP, will continue to act as the firm’s Interim CFO.
“We are delighted to welcome Chris,” said Mike Evans, Chairman of Hargreaves Lansdown plc, “…he has a highly relevant financial services background and will bring new skills and expertise to the Board.”
Chief Executive Ian Gorham added: “I am very pleased Chris is joining the team. We are very much looking forward to working with him at Hargreaves Lansdown.”
Hill said “I have always admired the Hargreaves Lansdown business and I am looking forward to this opportunity to contribute to its continued future success.”
