CEO Jane Dumeresque is to leave P2P lending platform FOLK2FOLK this month.

In a statement from FOLK2FOLK, no reason was given for the sudden departure, nor was a successor named. It said that a replacement will be made in due course and in the meantime, Chairman Tim Sawyer will assume the role of Executive Chairman.

Dumeresque joined FOLK2FOLK as CEO in 2015 and oversaw a period of growth and development for the business. This included opening new regional offices in Yorkshire, Somerset and the Three Counties, building further representation in Cumbria, Dorset, Cheshire and East Anglia and growing the platforms cumulative loan book from £30m to over £170m.

During Dumeresque’s time as CEO, FOLK2FOLK also gained FCA authorisation, joined the P2PFA and launched a series of new products, including an IFISA.

Sawyer said: “Jane has brought us a long way in a short period of time. The culture and legacy she has created will stay with us in the years to come. We wish her well for the future.”

The company would not provide any further comment.
