MetLife UK, a leading insurance provider, today announced it is extending access to its virtual GP service to all Individual Protection policyholders at no extra cost.
The service, provided by digital-first health company HealthHero, offers on-demand medical expertise, reassurance and support to customers and their families.
With fast and direct access to medical experts and valuable remote healthcare services, GP24 services will, from today, be available to all new Individual Protection clients, across its range of products, as well as MetLife’s existing 350,000 customers and their direct family members.
As part of the new offering from MetLife, policyholders will be able to access:
- Unlimited consultations with UK-based remote GPs available to book any time, day, or night, 365 days a year
- Second medical opinion service, with access to expert specialists who can offer reassurance of serious condition diagnosis and treatment plans
- Symptom checker, which uses AI to help assess and signpost the customer to appropriate medical advice
- Flexible prescription collection and local prescription delivery
- Open referrals to specialist support and medical treatment.
