Delivering a revolutionary technology platform, with Mindsavvy CEO; Andrew Smith

The global economy faces a staggering $16 trillion burden by 2030 due to mental health issues, with the UK workforce experiencing an unprecedented crisis particularly among younger and disadvantaged people.

Imagine if we could avert a decent chunk of the 11 million “fit notes” issued last year in the UK alone, which resulted in 94% of people written off as unfit to work.

Here at Mindsavvy, we are a very passionate and very driven team, and want to take years of combined learnings and expertise to deliver a revolutionary technology platform that can transform society. We are looking for key sponsors to help us to invest in our R&D plans over the coming years. Please see more here.

At MindSavvy, we intend to help people tackle daily life challenges with our innovative platform, offering a foundation course to build mental strength, toughness and financial resilience. Drawing from 20 years of experience in elite sports and business, our consumer-facing App will deliver proven and evaluated, stigma-free mental strengthening techniques. We empower individuals to live healthier, happier, and more balanced lives through smart mental health management. Our approach focuses first on mental strength and financial resilience, followed by practical advice on nutrition, fitness, and lifestyle (please see our recent article).

We will start by working with community leaders from various sectors—employers, the military, education, charities, gyms, and government bodies like the NHS. These leaders attend a comprehensive five-day course at our Belgium retreat. They then use the MindSavvy platform to train and support their communities, acting as a bridge back to our team. In this way we believe we can reach millions of people in a relatively short space of time.

We know we can achieve the following:

  • People can be connected to evaluated mental strength and resilience training on a daily basis – this is a digital and cost-effective alternative to in-person therapy.
  • Everyone will have a personalised mental strength and resilience score which will be their own to improve but can be shared/enjoyed as part of their community.
  • We will democratize access to best practice in mental strength and then financial resilience (two core pillars for most of society) to reach millions of underserved people.
  • Machine learning and AI will increasingly match a customer’s needs to our evaluated solutions.

Commercially, we intend to build a tougher and grittier version of Headspace (a business we admire), but something that becomes an integral part of everyday life not a nice to have.

We are looking for sponsors as well as athletes, celebrities and charities to join us in dealing with this mental health crisis. We believe we have the expertise and passion but people like you and your Group can command the attention of communities that we want to reach out to. Whether you love him or hate him, we think the following interview between Piers Morgan and Steven Bartlett has a lot of profound truth and endorses much of what we believe in. We aim to make society more resilient and mentally strong.
