Election 2017: “…we would expect that there is continued support for EIS & SEIS during and post the Brexit process.”

On today’s election result David Lovell, Operations Director at GrowthInvest, said:

“We would expect that there is continued support for EIS & SEIS during and post the Brexit process.  The  Conservatives having clearly voiced their support  and specifically referenced the schemes in their manifesto, and indeed have hinted at further potential tax  incentives in the digital sector.

“As we know most commentators expected a Conservative victory, but whilst the final outcome remains to be seen, and there is a risk of some of the current tax incentives on certain tax products being removed, or reduced under a Labour-led government, we would certainly expect and hope that this would not be the case and certainly not in the short-term, as this support for businesses will be arguably most required and valuable over the next couple of years.”
