He joins from Aberdeen Standard Investments, where he was Global Head of Private Markets and Real Estate Investment Oversight.

Commenting on the appointment, Paul O’Connor said: “We are excited to be adding someone of Alex’s calibre and background to our team.

He brings a wealth of private markets experience, which will allow us to further build on our performance track record, enhance our quality of service to clients and grow our Multi-Asset capabilities.”

Michael Ho, Global Head of Multi-Asset and Alternatives added: “The continued growth of our Multi-Asset and Alternatives business remains a key strategic priority. Alex’s appointment is a good step towards that.”
